I agree with Jeff that “Come Play in the Streets” sounds better.

I also think if they want to play up the family friendly theme, they ought to improve on the stuff they have for kids. It is typically the same boring stuff that few kids find appealing. The bouncer and big activities for kids is pretty expensive too.

You all have fantastic historical images of all manners of transportation on Grand River… horses, buggeys, trolleys, cars. It should be easy to find a tie in with “playing in the streets”

Umm…. then again maybe streets are for transport.

Maybe we have enought time to change the theme to “Go Play on the Sidewalks”

I’m trying to get behind this, but it’s tough to find an angle for the History Booth with this theme. Maybe we need to have kids with hoops and sticks playing in the streets? Good thing we have a few months to work on it…

“Go Play in the Streets”?

Growing up, the phrase “Go play in the street” was said when you wanted someone to leave you alone. It’s like saying, “get lost” or “go get hit by a car”.

I think that “Come play in the streets,” would be more inviting. But as it stands, it is better then another year of psuedo-victorian.
