Congratulations to Farmington Hills native Kirsten Haglund, who completed her reign as Miss America during Saturday evening’s televised pageant. She appeared on stage several times, perfectly poised and a wonderful representation of all the best Michigan has to offer.
Miss Indiana Katie Stam was crowned our new Miss America. Miss Michigan Ashlee Baracy was among the 10 finalists, but finished out of the running.
