Farmington’s Main Street program has reason to be proud, after taking home two awards from Saturday’s Main Street Oakland County Main Event.
The Streetscape bond election campaign and Main Street Messenger editor Pat Shelton took home a little bling. Judges gave the campaign high marks for community involvement, from the streetscape video to the informational newsletter and other volunteer efforts. And the judges actually created a new award for Shelton, whose work has become a model for other Main Street programs. Congratulations all around!
