I think perhaps it's time to explore legislation to ban pavers, especially the fake concrete kind. They are apparently unsafe at any speed. Or, we could post warning signs at every intersection: "Caution, pavers are slippery, even when not wet."

I would also like to point out there is only ONE Barry in this world, one true Barry against whose brilliant and effervescent image all others pale by comparison. Yes, I am speaking of the one... the only... Barry Manilow...

There's that word again. Infrastructure. Where's Hank's 1940's mallet. There it is. Excuse me.

Ok, let's go see what Barry has recently said about that.....

Glad to hear Santa Fe is emulating Farmington (streetscape, pavilion). Think they've been checking out our website? : )

As for the paver situation - welcome to the club (Citizens of A Certain Age). I seem to have difficulty even on smooth surfaces these days. And for me, "high heels" have come to mean anything over half an inch. Perhaps some mechanical assistance is in order... cane? walker?...Vespa?

Now THERE'S a thought for next debate on infrastructure improvement - installation of a "scooter corral" at the Downtown Center! A discussion residents could really sink their teeth into. Once they've retrieved them from the glass on the bathroom sink, that is. : )

I along with a trainful of mostly happy Amtrak passengers were stuck in a Kansas cornfield in the pitch black dead of night. Turns out that a conductor fell off the train attempting to swap out a battery on top the secondary engine.

Of course the thought struck me for the next debate....it is Barack's to lose, right?

p.s. I sure did enjoy some Santa Fe streetscape (now THEY have a pavillion by the way), but damn if I didn't keep slipping on those uneven brick pavers. And I wasn't wearing any high heels. :-)

Well, thank goodness. I contributed a few thoughts as well (this time about blogging, not elections). I hate it when they're forced to run out-of-town letters.
