Pay to play in Farmington Hills?

The question of whether Farmington residents should pay additional fees for parks and recreation services came up during tonight’s Council of Homeowners Associations candidate forum at Farmington Hills City Hall. Hills council candidates Robert Mason and Noreen Yuskowatz both danced around the issue of additional fees to Farmington residents. Both said basically the same thing: The City of Farmington needs to pay its fair share.

Mason, who was appointed to fill the term of Mayor Jerry Ellis, did add that in a collaboration, certain conditions have to be present. The first: You have to trust each other. And as Shakespeare once said, “Ay, there’s the rub.”

This might not be a good year to be running on an existing record, even if that record is only about a year long. Mason is going to have to take the heat for the city’s Master Plan debacle, and Yuskowatz seemed to agree with residents that the plan will have a huge impact on residential neighborhoods.

COHA presents a forum like this every time there’s a local election. Farmington Hills is lucky to have ‘em.

the park by Lk. Park Drive is not good. There is only a couple of bad swings and an unstable slide. Noreen Yuskowitz knocks down other peoples forts and doesn’t let you fish by the pond. Kids do not likie her and want to protest. They also believe that Noreen may be stalking them while nby the pond with there friends. Way to go noreen!

oh yeah, someone threw away the other comments that were prostesting . Talk about freedom of press/1!!!!!!!!

    • The other comments included obscene language, which is not tolerated here. So yes, those comments were deleted and regarded as spam – because there were half a dozen of them with the same foul language. Play nice, and you can stay. This is not “the press”, it is a personal blog, managed by a private individual.
