Congratulations to Sarah Duhr, the new Miss Farmington Area Founders Festival – Miss Farmington, for short. She was sponsored by Cromwell Chiropractic, one of the most sincerely nice businesses in Downtown Farmington. Ms. Duhr also received an award for selling the most tickets and the Miss Spirit of Farmington award. She follows last year’s Miss Farmington, Erica Alonzo, a worthy and committed community ambassador over the past year.
I ran into Farmington Observer editor Stacy Jenkins today, she served as a judge for the event. She mentioned that Sarah had the benefit of experience from last year’s pageant, wherein she got as far as 2nd Runner-Up. Just goes to show the value of persistence.
The value of the pageant lies not only in the prestige of being able to wear the tiara and sash and reign over this year’s Festival, but in scholarship dollars and savings bonds.
