Okay, so the Great Festival Blogging Experiment failed. Our wireless router just isn’t strong enough to show up across Memorial Park and onto city property. I suppose in some respects, that’s a good thing. Kudos and thanks to Brian for giving it the old college try.
I will be providing Festival updates, video of Downtown Farmington today should be up shortly. A few observations about my stroll through town:
It’s hot. Bring water and your patience. Drivers are already getting cranky, which makes no sense to me, since all the signs and decorations should be giving folks a clue that something disruptive is going on.
The cut-outs of Victorian women on light poles and posts on Grand River are beautifully done.
You’ll find plenty of places to sit and chat, there are chairs and tables all over town.
You’ll also find plenty of red, white and blue. Everywhere you look.
Did I mention that it’s hot?
