My husband did some asking around about pedestrian accidents on Grand River, and learned of two people in our community who have suffered permanent, life-changing injuries in car/pedestrian accidents on Grand River. He learned this in a day, so I would imagine there have been more.
Certainly merits a call to the public safety director, to see about what’s been going on over the past five or ten years. But the issue isn’t how many people have been injured, it’s whether conditions exist that would make pedestrian accidents inevitable, and whether we can change that.
They do, and we can.
